Elco’s 5” IC Airtight New Construction 2-Hour Fire Rated Housing is cUL Listed for 2-hour fire resistance, meeting and exceeding strict fire safety codes. Its integrated non-combustible insulation acts as a sound barrier, minimizing sound transfer between floors. The double-wall IC rating allows for direct contact with insulation, suitable for both IC and non-IC conditions. The airtight housing includes a gasket to restrict airflow in accordance with ASTM E-283 air-tight requirements, and it adjusts in the frame to accommodate ceiling thicknesses up to 1 1/2".
